Salamanca, Gto., February 25, 2016.- The community of the Division of Engineering from the University of Guanajuato, recognizes the teaching career of the professors Cuauhtémoc Rubio Arana and Sergio Vázquez Razo, whose vision and inspiration settled the bases for the academic development in Salamanca.

Professors and students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, made patent their thanks for the labor of these professors, who help cement what was then the "Facultad de Ingeniería Mecánica, Eléctrica y Electrónica", today Division of Engineering of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca (DICIS).

After getting a statuette with their image, M.I. Cuauhtémoc Rubio spoke about his origins in what he called "the Fabulous FIMEEE". He reminded when they began to collaborate with foreign researchers and link with the productive sector, which printed a workflow and results that gave so much prestige to the faculty.

On his behalf, M.I. Sergio Vázquez Razo, commented that in his years of service, he was faithful to his personal code by doing the right thing and thanked his colleagues, for being considered for the recognition and his family who was with him in this event.

The Director of the Division of Engineering, Dr. Roberto Rojas Laguna recognized the contribution from the professors when pointing that "the teaching activity is not executed with gray hair, but, with understanding and this usually improves with the years". He quoted Hippocrates, who composed the aphorisms at an advanced age as an extract of his vast experience.

Dr. José Colin Venegas, retired professor of the University and Dr. Julián Moisés Estudillo Ayala, DICIS' professor, gave allusive words to the career of the homage. Colin Venegas confessed he didn't imagine that he would share with them almost three decades in the work field of the University of Guanajuato and defined them as jubilant professors for reaching this stage in life.

The award ceremony was presided by the Rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. Ernesto Alfredo Camarena Aguilar; Director of DICIS, Dr. Roberto Rojas Laguna; Academic Secretary of Campus, Dr. Oscar Ibarra Manzano; Director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Elias Ledesma Orozco and the Coordinator of the program of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Sergio Cano Andrade.
