
Guanajuato, Gto., February 25, 2016.- Within the Seminar of Touristic Studies, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector of Campus Guanajuato, inaugurated the "Master Class to strengthen the Academic Excellence DCEA 2016", which includes an academic exchange program with new guest professors from different universities in Canada, Colombia and Spain, experts in different disciplines of the business area.
The primary objective of the master class, which was encouraged by Dr. Martha Leticia Guevara Sanginés, researcher-professor of the Department of Organizational Studies; is to strengthen the academic and research labor with international standards in the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences from the University of Guanajuato.
The inauguration of the master class matches with the Seminar of Tourism, a tradition at DCEA for over six years, and, to begin with the cycle of conferences, the professor Dr. Andrés Artal-Tur was presented, guest professor of the "Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena", with the topic "Cultural tourist in the Spanish Mediterranean Regions: What factors explain their presence and how they behave?".
In her message, Dr. Claudia Susana Gómez López, Director of the Division of Economic and Administrative Sciences (DCEA), celebrated having classes of excellence, "possibly for the first time in history", thanks to the effort at an institutional and divisional level, of being able to make the necessary negotiations to bring professors with very high academic level".
Dr. Gómez López, observed that with the nine professors they will have in 2016, in the classes, they can advance and consolidate in the respective topic, Economy and Finance, Geo-Reference, Business Management, Customs Law, Organizational Safety and Violence, Tourism, Organizational Behavior, Psychometry and Psychosocial Risks.
On his behalf, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández also thanked the presence of Dr. Artal-Tur in the class, whose framework will allow a permanent collaboration, hence, the extended a congratulation to Dr. Guevara Sanginés for this entrepreneurship that will strengthen the educational programs at DCEA.
Rector of Campus Guanajuato remarked that in the last few years, the topic of internationalization has been present in all universities, that are in itself international institutions; although many times this circumstance has been understood only as the development of these activities, sending students and professors to congresses, make internships, receive researchers; but the most important is the internationalization of education, purpose reached in the classes of excellence.
At the opening ceremony were Dr. Claudia Gutiérrez Padilla, Academic Secretary of Campus, as well as professors and directors of the Department of Management and Direction of Businesses at DCEA and Division's students.
