Guanajuato, Gto., February 23, 2016.- Next Thursday, February 25th, in the city of Leon will be presented the poetry collection "Conversación con la parade" of the writer and academic from the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Benjamín Valdivia.

The event will occur in the Auditorium Jorge Ibargüengoitia in the loc. Forum of Campus Leon at 19:00 hours. As presenters, Graciela Guzmán and Rosa Murillo, as well as the editor Leopoldo Navarro and the author himself.

"Conversacion con la perrada" is Dr. Valdivia's new poem book, recently published by "Tlacuilo Ediciones" in its collection "Hojas de lumbre".

Such book is a lyrical construction that proposes a talk with humanity, in which he addresses universal concepts as death and love. The previous, through an ironical touch, that creates a critic in the actual writing of poetry.

In his poem collection, the author alludes to the poetry made in the present –in his point of view—possesses a historical definition. The sensation of being out of the actuality led to make a set of poems that create a liturgy for religion of what poetry was. It is precise to mention that the poem collection is composed of eight parts and a dedicatory.

In the past presentation made in the city of Guanajuato, the poet José Luis Justes, affirmed that "this book teaches us to be more aware about mortality and take the weapons we can oppose it: love and poetry".

It is worth to mention that Benjamín Valdivia was born in Aguascalientes in the year 1960. He is a corresponding member of the "Academia Mexicana de la Lengua" and the "Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Española". He is a doctor in Human studies and Arts (UAZ); he also a doctorate in Philosophy (UNAM) and in Education (UG). He is a professor at the University of Guanajuato and has done several labors in universities of Canada, United States and Spain.

He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), level II and has been a scholarship holder for the "Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes" in Mexico. His literary work extends to the genres of poetry, novel, tale, theory and essay, both academic and literary.
