Guanajuato, Gto., February 27, 2016. Next March 3rd, within the activities of the III International Congress of Sound Art in Spain, there will be the world premiere of "Espacios para clarinet en Bb y cinta" (Spaces for clarinet in Bb and tape), electroacoustic play from the M. Francisco García Ledesma, professor and researcher of the Department of Music at the University of Guanajuato (UG).

The concert "Espacio público y memoria" (Public space and memory), which will interpret M. Garcia Ledesma's piece, will be staged in the National Museum, Center of Art "Reina Sofia" in Madrid, Spain.

In the play, the author covered the concept of space in its broadest definition, from outer space to the acoustic spaces, sounds. To make it, he combines sounds of "real" instruments, with "virtual" instruments. These were achieved by editing and transforming sounds through a software they use in the Audio Laboratory at the University of Guanajuato of which M. Francisco García Ledesma is in charge.

To record part of the tape "Espacios para clarinet", the professor invited Israel Zárate Esparza to participate, a graduate from the Instrument Music degree from the Department of Music at UG, he pointed out that it is fundamental to support the graduates to internationally project them.

About the participation in the III International Congress of Sound Art, organized by the "Universidad Autónoma de Madrid", M. García Ledesma explained that as a professor of the assignment "Audio Laboratory" has a close collaboration with the Spanish institution, and was José Luis Carles himself, director of Congress, who invited him to compose a piece for the electroacoustic music journeys.

M. Francisco García, ascribed to Campus Guanajuato, began his studies in the back then School –today Department—of Music from UG, and continued his studies at the National Conservatory. After graduating in composition, he came back to the University of Guanajuato as a scholar.

UG –he affirms— "is my job, my life project, my home. In UG I began to study music, that is where my dream to become a composer began. Coming back to work here gives me the chance to give back a little of all it has given me", that is why now, he seeks to offer other college youth the opportunity to know his work in international scenarios.
