Guanajuato, Gto., February 29, 2016.- With the objective to promote the study of Chemical Sciences and stimulate the development of youth talent in the country, the XXV National Olympic of Chemistry began, where the University of Guanajuato (UG) will be the host.

In representation of UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, UG's Director of Liaison, Dr. Salvador Hernández Castro welcomed the participating students and recognized that they are an example for all the students and motivated them to continue giving their best effort to achieve their goals.

On his behalf, in representation of the State of Guanajuato's Governor, Lic. Miguel Márquez Márquez, the Sub secretary of High and Higher Education, M. José Abel Sánchez recognized that thanks to the work of those who dedicated their lives to science, they can generate solutions to problems that affect actual society.

Equally, he thanked the University of Guanajuato for occupying in boosting the talent and turn for a second time the host of this National Olympics.

In an interview, the state delegate, Dr. Victor Manuel Mejía Cobos remarked that this is a formative experience for students that allows them to explore their passion for the sciences and thanked the university authorities for providing the support for the realization of the event.

In representation of the Director of the High School College (CNMS), Q.F.B. Martha Oliva Gallaga Ortega, CNMS' academic secretary, Dr. Jesús Raúl Lugo Martínez, thanked the students for their participation, because this way they can obtain experiences that will lead them to transcend in diverse aspects.

At the event were also present: The Coordinator of the National Organizing Committee, Dr. Antonia Dosal Gómez; in representation of the Director of the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences of UG's Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Martín Picón Nuñez, the Academic Secretary of such division, M. Gabriel Andreu de Riquer; in representation of the President of the Mexican Academy of Science, Dr. Jaime Urrutia Fucugauchi, the ex-President of the Mexican Academy of Science, Dr. Mauricio Fortes Besprosvani.
