Guanajuato, Gto., March 3, 2016.- The Symphonic Orchestra of the University of Guanajuato (OSUG), will make evident the sublime sonority of the horns with a concert that will occur next Friday March 4th at 20:30 hours in the "Teatro Principal".

This time, they'll have the presence of the guest director, Konradin Herzog, also the soloists Julius Pranevicius, Claire Hellweg, Darío Bojórquez and Michelle Pettit.

In the first order, the musicians will play the piece "Symphony No. 6 in D major, Hob 1:6 Le Matin" of Franz Joseph Haydn. In this melody, the six introduction Adagio compasses evoke a sunrise. Next an Allegro in a sonata. Just before the re-exposition, a horn touches the theme in a false entry that leads to the expected comeback from the beginning by the flute.

The second piece that OSUG will interpret, is a premiere in Guanajuato, "Konzerstuck" in F major, Op. 86. For four horns and orchestra" of Robert Schumann, is the fruit of one of the most beautiful creating periods of the composer. In it, Schumann explores the technique, the virtuosity, and the expressiveness of the chromatic horn with three pistons. The new instrument perfected by the Viennese Leopold Uhlmann. In the both extreme movements, full of verve, shows an original writing of the four horns, while the Romanze seems like a pre-figuration of the fourth movement, Feierlich, of the Symphony Renana.

"Peer Gynt (Orchestral suites)" of Edvard Grieg, will the last piece to complete the concert's program. It is precise to mention that these suites were written from an invitation made by the writer Henrik Ibsen to the composer and pianist, Edvard Grieg, so he can musicalize determined scenes of his dramatic poem "Peer Gynt". To concrete the collaboration, Ibsen and Grieg met in Rome, where the writer was exiled since –in 1894—he declared against the Norwegian neutrality in the war between Denmark and Prussia.

It is important to mention that the guest director, Konradin Herzog, is Swiss, he began his musical studies at the age of 7 as a violoncellist. It was during his performances of Tristán and Isolda of Wagner, with the opera of Zurich, that he was fascinated by the direction and his desire to become a director grew strong. At the age of 17 he was assistant director of the Symphony and Orchestra of Chamber of the Winterthur Conservatory. He was a winner of the prize of the International Competence Charles Hennen of Chamber Music in Heerlen (Netherlands) and completed his violoncello studies in Hochschule der Künste Zürcher with a Master grade.

In 2013, Konradin Herzog graduated with distinction in his studies of the Degree of Direction of Orchestra in the Amsterdam's Conservatory with Lucas Vis and Ed Spaniaard. Since during his degree studies, regularly led premieres by young international composers.

The concert has a cost of MXN$80.00 in general and MXN$40.00 for the university community, for more information, please visit the following internet site www.extension.ugto.mx
