Guanajuato, Gto., March 1, 2016.- With the purpose to support the comprehensive development of the students at the University of Guanajuato (UG), the Government of the state of Guanajuato gave 2, 600 tablets to High School and College students.

Representing the peers who received tablets, the student of the Public Management degree of the Division of Law, Politics and Government of UG's Campus Guanajuato, Jorge Torres García thanked this opportunity and assured –in the name of the students—that they will give it proper and good use of academic activities, because it is a tool that allows them to be updated in information.

By the name of the student community, the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, thanked the support and highlighted that this delivery is an act of co-responsibility that implies the commitment to the education from the Government of the State and from the university community to use these tools as a mean, not as an end itself.

On his behalf, the Governor of the State of Guanajuato, Lic. Miguel Márquez Márquez, mentioned that the students are the present of the society and that education is the most important in the development of themselves. He also exhorted the students to feel proud of being part of the University of Guanajuato.

From the University of Guanajuato attended the Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández; the Rector of Campus León, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez; the Director of the High School College, Q.F.B. Martha Oliva Gallaga Ortega.

Also present were the Secretary of Education, M. Eusebio Vega Pérez; General Director of the "instituto de Financiamiento e Información para la Educación", Jorge Enrique Hernández Meza; in representation of Guanajuato's major, Lic. Edgar Castro Cerrillo, the City Hall Secretary, Dr. Carlos Torres Ramírez; the President of the Directors Council of "EDUCAFIN", PA. Jorge Arturo García Rangel, Local Deputy, Alejandro Navarro Saldaña.
