Guanajuato, Gto., March 9, 2016. Authorities from the University of Guanajuato (UG) acknowledged the members on the Oral litigation team, two-time champs in the National University Contest of Criminal Litigation that occurs in Argentina, and who since the beginning has triumphed in state, national and international contests.

In the ceremony, UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, congratulated the team composed by students from the Law degree in Campus Guanajuato, who with their numerous titles show the academic quality of the House of Studies, but above all, the result of perseverance, discipline and team work.

"The success –he said—sustains in the most valuable than an educational institution has: its students."

The students that were distinguished by their Alma Mater are: Valeria Arroyo Cortés, Karla Janet Castañeda Ornelas, Gloria Guadalupe García Sandate, Zurisadarai Guzmán Pérez, Oliver Alexei Martínez Ortega and Sergio Raúl Saucedo Sánchez.

In the event, students gave a sample of their talent, making a simulation of an oral litigation, that allowed to appreciate how legal arguments are constructed to defend their postures.

Campus Guanajuato's Rector, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández said that being victorious for the second time in the National University Contest of Criminal Litigation in Argentina speaks highly of the formation the law students receive, and the enthusiasm and effort from the students, that makes the university community proud.

"Tomorrow, in your professional life, you will carry with you all the lessons learned to achieve the mission to guarantee the design of a full litigation, where justice prevails," he sustained.

On her part, the Director of the Division of Law, Politics and Government (DDPG), Dr. Teresita de Rendón Huerta Barrera expressed her recognition to the youth, who she reminded to the knowledge is power and share it with the rest and who has less, "is imperative."

In name of the awarded students, spoke Sergio Raúl Saucedo, who reminded that the Team of Oral Litigation emerged in 2009, as an initiative of professor Juan Manuel Olvera Méndez. He thanked his professors, advisors and university authorities for the support and accompaniment they have provided for the team, as well as Lic. Claudia Aguilar Rangel, who advised during the competition in Argentina.

It is worth mentioning that the team, currently assessed by Lic. Juan Carlos Páramo, since 2009 has been undefeated in the oral litigation state and regional competitions, has obtained the first places nationally and internationally, has obtained in United States the cup "Champ of Champs", and has resulted triumphant in the National University Contest in Argentina in the years 2014 and 2015.

In the ceremony held in the Study yard of DDPG, was also present, the Director of the Department of Law, Dr. Eduardo Pérez Alonso, students and professors of UG, as well as family of the awarded students.
