León, Gto., March 8, 2016.- The University of Guanajuato Campus Leon will carry out on the next March 14th at 11:00 o'clock in the Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies, the event "Diálogos de Politicas Públicas para el Desarrollo Local: "Análisis de la incidencia delictiva en León de 2011 a 2015, Reporte del Observatorio Ciudadano en León". (Dialogues of Public Policies for the Local Development: Analysis of the crime rate in Leon from 2011 to 2015, Report from the Citizen Observatory of Leon, A.C.).

Such activity will be held in the Audiovisual 2, and will have the presence of M. Evelin Aguado Jiménez, General Director and Advisor of the Citizen Observatory of Leon, A.C.

This event is organized by the seminar "Cambio y Dinámicas Sociales Emergentes en America Latina" and the Laboratory of Analysis in Public Policies for the Local Development, coordinated by Dr. Alex Ricardo Caldera Ortega, researcher professor of the Department of Public Management and Development.

Is an activity that influences directly in the link between the campus, particularly the Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies and social agents, such as the Citizen Observatory of Leon, A.C.

The Citizen Observatory is a civil society that emerged to review, observe and evaluate the government management in a federal, state and local levels, to contribute their improvement for the good of all citizens. Among their objectives is to contribute the construction of a stronger, more organized and more participative civil society.

With report that will present by M. Evelin Aguado, there will be known those felonies that have raised exponentially in the city during the period between 2011 and 2015, from which Dr. Jésica and Dr. Jacobo Herrera Rodríguez will comment, both researchers in the Department of Social Studies in the University of Guanajuato Campus Leon, where they will identify the crime rate in the city of Leon, likewise, they will analyze the covering on the program of the city government (2016-2018) in matters of security.

Equally, they will make a comparison study by year for the crimes with higher rate for the state of Guanajuato and in the city of Leon, in which they will show the percentages of increase and diminishment of each one of the crimes, they will show the percentages of increase and diminishment of each one of the crimes when they were denunciated and how many of them are in an investigation process.

They will use the time to show the objectives of the Laboratory of Analysis of Public Policies for the Local Development of the Academic Body "Transformaciones Sociales y Dinámicas Territoriales," coordinated by Dr. Alex Ricardo Caldera Ortega.
