Dr. José Mario Mendoza Carrillo, Director of the Department of Agronomy, ascribed to the Division of Life Science of UG's Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, expressed in an interview that the modality of workshops and advisory adds to the syllabus, seeking to support companies in the production of milk and meat produce. Regarding the syllabus, Dr. Mendoza Carrillo mentioned that currently there are approximately 100 students, divided into three groups in different semesters, who are directly involved in the advisory activities, achieving with it the acquisition of skills and development of experience, at the same time making a research, thesis or essay whose results can be published.
He explained that in the workshops, they integrated a research team and another of basic transformation. With the first, they seek to contribute with businesses to influence in their continuous improvement processes. While in the second, they make activities using relatively simple equipment to determine the quality of products.
To conclude, Dr. Mendoza Carrillo expresses that the primordial objective of this labor is related with the topic of public health, since they pretend to deliver products of quality to feed properly. "That producers learn to transform the raw material to add value and reach out to society with more natural products to seek a better health" he added.
