Guanajuato, Gto., March 18, 2016. Professors from the High School College (CNMS for its acronym in Spanish) of the University of Guanajuato participated in the VIII International Congress UNESCO Class for Reading and Writing, a space to share ideas, thoughts, research and findings on two intertwined aspects that are fundamental for the development of a society: read and write.

The host was the University of Costa Rica, where participants from Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, among other Spanish-speaking countries and Latin America gathered.

From the University of Guanajuato, participated the Prof. Leticia Yadira Sepúlveda Toledano from HS Salamanca; Lourdes Maldonado Farriols and Fernando Quiróz Luna from HS Leon; M. Miriam Adriana Mendoza Romero, responsible of the Educational Orientation Program, and Claudia García y García from HS Salamanca.

It is important to mention that these works are the result of an encouragement achieved thanks to the project "Founding for the Reading Practices" that began in 2012 with the purpose of Unifying efforts to strengthen reading and writing in high-school youth from the University of Guanajuato.
