León, Gto., March 18, 2016. Within activities of the CIV Reunion of the "Asociación Mexicana de Profesores de Microbiología y Parasitología A.C." "Dr. Rafael Coria Cano" and the XV "Congreso Nacional de Estudiantes de Microbiología y Parasitología, together with the "Departamento de Medicina y Nutrición" from the University of Guanajuato, began activities in 2016, which will extend to Saturday March 19th.
The objective of such event is to gather students and professors from different universities in the Republic and expose new research on different diseases and viruses that exist today in our environment.
Among the papers presented were: "El empleo del hospital virtual de Medicina de la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) como apoyo para las prácticas de Microbiología y Parasitología", in charge of Dr. Orthón Rafael Cruz López in company with Dr. Rafael Rojas Domínguez, also from BUAP.
The main topics in the conferences were the different viruses that continue being a threat not only for human beings, but also for the animals, since nowadays it is known that the animals are the cause of the contagion of viruses such as Ebola, Zika and Chikungunya.
The second day of papers was about the topic of Nobel Prizes in 2015, in charge of Dr. Fidel Hernández Hernández. And as a second act they carried out the inauguration of the CIV Reunion led Campus Leon Rector, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez in company with Dr. Moisés Andrade Quezada, Coordinator of the state's Public Health and Dr. Ma. Elena Montañez Díaz, President of the Mexican Association of Professors of Microbiology and Parasitology A.C.
Also present were Dr. Tonatiuh García Campos, Director of the Division of Health Sciences from the University of Guanajuato and Dr. Gabriel Cortés Gallo, Director of the Department of Medicine and Nutrition at UG.
