Celaya, Gto., Marh 16, 2015.- The members of the academic body of research "Migration and vulnerable groups" from the Division of Social and Administrative Sciences of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra from the University of Guanajuato (UG), created a space of multidisciplinary criticism and thought of topics like history, sociology, psychology, political science and demography.
That is the reason why, throughout the semester they carry out three sessions and in each one of them, a visitor researcher presents a poster and in the end the attendees exchange opinions and points of view, that is what Dr. Perla Shiomara revealed, member of the academic body and professors at Campus Celaya-Salvatierra.
Dr. Shiomara commented that because Guanajuato is one of the federal entities that have concentrated great part of the international migrants, "we made it our task to research on the situation of the less favored groups in this phenomenon."
Throughout their experience in these seminars, more than fourteen speakers from national and international institutions have presented; they come from countries such as US, Spain, England, Venezuela, among others.
The talks are aimed for students, academic and public; this dynamic has allowed the research group to address from different focuses, methods and theories the migratory processes from diverse implications, as well as to think about the problems of the vulnerable groups in Mexico and encourage their diffusion between the academic community and society in general.
The diffusion of research results of the migratory phenomenon and the vulnerable groups allows the visibility of aspects that are fundamental to make decision and therefor, support the vulnerable groups and achieve the development within the region.
