Guanajuato, Gto., March 30, 2016.- With the objective of enriching her formation, the graduate from the Nutrition degree by the "Universidad Del Valle de Atemajac" (UNIVA), Lic. Magdalena Montserrat Hernández Murillo, performs her professional social service in the University of Guanajuato (UG).

The Maximum House of Studies has the firm conviction that through the liaison between higher-education institutions, can strengthen the action that provides a common good.

As part of her professional social service project, Magdalena Montserrat –through a professor in her university—contacted the professor and researcher from the Department of Medicine and Nutrition of UG's Campus Leon, Dr. Daniela Beatriz López, to create a project in which she could develop in topics related with her major.

Together, they began a project with the name "Desarrollo y Validación de Atlas Fotogáfico de Alimentos Mexicanos" (Development and Validation of Photographic Atlas of Mexican Food), in which they chose to take photos of diverse prepared foods frequently consumed in the city of Leon, Gto., with the objective to make a nutritional breakdown of each one.

In an interview with the Lic. Hernández Murillo mentioned that the Atlas is a support tool for the making of nutritionary diets since it allows a wide and specific panorama of food that are consumed by the patients and eases the nutritional evaluation of the same.

She highlighted that between UG and UNIVA, it has been a different experience that has allowed enriching knowledge, thanks to the diverse points of view that has learned from both universities.

In the same way, he expressed that she already feels part of the University of Guanajuato, because this has been a great experience that has given him the possibility to know people with different points of view, that also is an opportunity to work together in benefit of society.
