Guanajuato, Gto., March 24, 2016.- Dr. Jorge Arturo Gutierrez Camarena, graduate from the University of Guanajuato (UG) and current student of the doctorate in architecture and environment, presents a product as an alternative in construction.

Dr. Gutierrez mentioned in an interview, that the product is the result of his project named "VERMUSUS," acronym of "Versatilidad en Muros Sustentables" (Versatility in Sustainable Walls), which consists in a set of non-conventional blocks that allow the construction of masonry, walls, screens or any other kind of furniture or separation but in a personalized way. It means, the design of each block and its assembly topology, can be placed in different ways, giving distinctive appearances and each use can select the final touch of the product.

This innovative initiative pretends to have a positive impact, first in environmental terms, "since it does not use any kind of binder, mortar or any other product to stick, can be assembled and disassembled in any moment," exposed Dr. Gutiérrez Camarena. For example, if you have an ephemeral event, may it be a convention, fair or expo, you can install and later remove it and put it in another place. He also added that the second benefit refers to the aspect of design, "due to its topology, it can be placed in different ways. This makes every person adjust it to their needs."

He explained that the materials in the elaboration of the product are varied and in accordance with other people's needs; however, he is trying to work with raw materials such as PET, and obtain a bigger ecological benefit.

To boost this project, Dr. Gutiérrez commented that is currently in search for support that allows him to acquire machinery and necessary equipment, seeking to make the product more competitive against the conventional products that are currently used in construction.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Gutiérrez Camarena, has given talks about his project in many forums, in addition of having obtained the second place from CONCYTEG in 2014.
