Guanajuato, Gto., April 5, 2016.- With the signing of a collaboration agreement between the University of Guanajuato (UG) through the Division of Law, Politics and Government of Campus Guanajuato, the municipal government of San Luis de la Paz will receive training in the topic of municipality.

In the founding act of institutional collaboration between UG and the city of San Luis de la Paz, signed by Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector of Campus Guanajuato, and Prof. Guillermo Rodríguez Contreras, Municipal President of mentioned city, manifested the mutual interest to provide society a better government.

Dr. Corona highlighted the importance the liaison work has for UG: be receptive of the regional needs and put at service of the cities the research and academic potential, meaning the resources the University of Guanajuato has.

He even referred that the collaboration agreement formalizes the work that has been developing for yeas with the city, particularly in historical research but without a doubt, will reinforce the link with our House of Studies: "there is a need to strengthen the city's social cell, and the University of Guanajuato is totally open to provide that collaboration."

The Rector of Campus Guanajuato celebrated the intention of the ludovicense municipal government of making things better in the public management and considered right to have approached the Division of Law, Politics and Government, for the experience and profile of its academic body, particularly in the topic of municipality.

The document was also signed by Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, Director of the Division of Law, Politics and Government, who remembered that last March they received the visit from the major of San Luis de la Paz seeking technical support for real community needs; therefore, in response, the academic enclosure will put its knowledge at the service of society.

At the same time, Prof. Guillermo Rodríguez Contreras, Municipal President of San Luis de la Paz, who was accompanied by the board he leads, thanked the answer from the Maximum House of Studies of the state and committed the greatest effort so the achievements be significant and make things better.

In the ceremony and signing, were also present Eng. Francisco Flores Solano, City Hall Secretary of San Luis de la Paz and Dr. Salvador Hernández Castro, Director of Liaison of the University of Guanajuato, representing Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, General Rector.
Dr. Hernández Castro, also observed the importance of the social mission from the University of Guanajuato, which implies to take to society the benefits of the educational programs and research, not only with pre-established courses in the catalogue, but with programs tailored for their needs, thanks to the consolidated and high profile academic bodies. He revealed that the agreement will be signed soon.
