This composer made his "Last four songs, Trv 296", a year before his death, as an exiled refugee in Switzerland, where the composer lived voluntarily after the denazification process made by the allies after Hitler's demise.

Such plays are inspired in three poems of Hermann Hesse and one of Joseph Von Eichendorf. All verse in some way about the past that goes but also about the future that comes, death and the serene acceptance of destiny.

In the second part of the concert and closure, they will have a premiere in Guanajuato, the "Symphony No. 8 in C minor, Op. 65" from the famous Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich.

From the fifteen symphonies composed by Shostakovich, the seventh, eighth and ninth are usually considered as a heterogeneous group that composes the known "brochure of war". Since most of the plays were composed during WWII, offering different visions of the events, so, the seventh symphony is related with the horror of battle, the eighth centers in human suffering and the ninth looks into a better future.

It is worth mentioning that the soprano Violeta Dávalos had her debut at 19 years-old in the 1st Festival of Mexico City. Her opera initiation was at the age of 20, in the starring role of the opera "Aída" of Verdi in a great international production in the Sports Palace. Dávalos has a vast discography.
