Representative groups from campus will join the festivities

Celaya, Gto., April 6, 2016.- With support from the Extension Unit Celaya, the Direction of Cultural Extension and the University of Guanajuato (UG), the 5th Regional Festival of Art 2016, that will celebrate the World Art Day, will be done on April 15th.

The inauguration of the Festival will be the next April 7th at 13:00 where artists will be welcomed and will present a representative music group from Campus Celaya-Salvatierra.

For the opening of the activities, they have foreseen the participation of the song-writer Edgar León Hacha and the representative group from campus "Arquetipos de la Mancha" conformed by students in the area of Clinical Psychology.

The writer Arturo Elías, organizer and creator of the event, referred that "I am very thankful with UG because from the beginning, five years ago now, has been our main sponsor, since then it has supported with a place for the expos. Our purpose is to value art; this year participated in nearly three thousand artists and emerges to celebrate the birth of Leonardo da Vinci the World Art Day, precisely in April."

Students from Campus Celaya-Salvatierra through the Coordination of Encouragement to the Student's Development (CIDIE) is ready to present this Thursday April 7th, in the south venue. Saturday April 9th in "Casa del Diezmo" Celaya and April 17th in the walkway "Santa Cecilia" at downtown Celaya.

There will be a total of twelve representative groups that join the edition number five of the festival and participate with folkloric dancing, pantomime, Latin American music, modern dance, violin, Polynesian dancing, storytellers, theater, Rondalla and the "estudiantina" from Campus Celaya-Salvatierra.

Likewise, there will be a collective expo in the south venue the topics "Immerse in art", "Landscape workshop Eliseo Mijangos" and "The new plastic proposal from Celaya".
