ug-dialoga-con-organizaciones-de-la-sociedad-civil-para-enriquecer-programa-de-equidad-de-genero

Guanajuato, Gto., April 7, 2016. With the purpose to enrich the Institutional Program of Gender Equity of the University of Guanajuato (UG), authorities from the House of Studies gathered with representatives from "Organizaciones de la Sociedad Civil (OSC)", who exposed their observations and proposals of the program and the draft of the Protocol of Immediate Attention to Gender Violence Cases.

The objective, as exposed by UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, is that the program "UGénero" is in constant construction, so they asked OSC for this reunion to mark the "beginning of the dialogue and a liaison with society".

In the same sense, the Coordinator of the Institutional Program "UGénero", Dr. Cirila Cervera Delgado, reiterated that UG reinforced collaboration bonds with diverse social actors, since the University of Guanajuato cannot work alone in the construction of a culture of equity.

They also pointed out that it is fundamental to make an effort so the actions planned by the House of Studies permeate in the community, "that college men take ownership of this work program" to achieve substantial changes.

The Protocol of Immediate Attention to Gender Violence Cases is one document "clear, simple and concrete", considered the representative of "Las Libres", Verónica Cruz Sánchez, idea which the General Rector complements when pointing out an access to the possible victims.
