Guanajuato, Gto., April 7, 2016.- For third consecutive year, the web page of the University of Guanajuato (UG) was awarded with the International Editorial Prize OX 2016.

This award is being given since 2002 by Editorial OX, a non-profit organization founded by Vicente Ferrer and whose objective was to encourage the Spanish-speaking web developers, designers and creators.

The criteria to obtain this award are: the quality of its contents and the quality in development, this last one evaluates the functionality of the page, meaning; browsing is simple to the user and displays in any device.

It is worth mentioning that the functions UG's web page has, is an accessibility system for disabled people, through a software called "Inklusion," which allows the access to all users disregarding their age or capabilities.

It also includes a geolocation system of the venues of all UG campuses, which traces the route from one venue to another so the user can locate their access routes.

Likewise, offers a search system for the study plans and the academic offer and an easy-access directory.

Currently, they are working on integrating improvements to the new version of the web page; an example is the inclusion of multimedia content such as videos, audios and photographic galleries in the news section, this with the objective to offer a more graphic and complete service, as well the systematization of catalogues such as: continuous education and innovation for a more accessible consult under search filters.
