
Guanajuato, Gto., April 7, 2016.- With the purpose of strengthening the aptitudes of leadership, students from the University of Guanajuato (UG) present a seminar directed for college youth, from April 6th to May 25th.
This initiative rises from the students in the Public Administration, Tourism, Industrial Relations, Political Science and Law degrees, and specifically an organized group called "Actitud Joven" (Young attitude) and the directive board "Panal" (Hive) from the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences from Campus Guanajuato, since they consider necessary to strengthen the students' skills as leaders and reorient them to procure the social wellbeing and the improvement of our country.
"Impulsando Líderes Integrales" (Encouraging integral leaders) is the title of the seminar whose objectives seek to boost the union of college students as a community, develop in the youth their leadership ability in any situation, make the students identify the social problem, generate social action proposals, as well as awake in the Mexican youth the interest for learning from the best leadership practices.
To begin the seminar works, in the opening event, Luis Alberto González Bernabé, representative of "Actitud Joven" and student from the degrees in Economy and Public Administration, welcome the attending youth, inviting them to participate in a respectful and serious manner; likewise he expressed that "the University is investing in each one of you, so it is important that you take advantage of this opportunity, and so deposit a seed that will be your entire responsibility to make it flourish".
The initial talk of the seminar was in command of Lic. Mauricio Santiago Rodríguez Herrera, professor in many educative institutions and specialist in the topic of social communication, who presented a talk on ethics, expressing that the University represents an extraordinary opportunity, since it is the main space where leaders are forged.
Such conferences will happen within a month and a half and are related with topics such as self-esteem, ethics and values, adaptability and effective communication, charisma and creativity, negotiation and teamwork, among others. They expect the participation of more than 90 young leaders at UG, in theoretical activities in class and field practice.
