Guanajuato, Gto., April 7, 2016.- The Consolidated Academic Body (CAC) of Musicology of the University of Guanajuato executes a project denominated "Products of Creation/Musical interpretation and Musicological Research," which occurs throughout the year.
Such project is organized in conjunction with a themed Network of Academic Collaboration named: "Network of Academic Bodies of Musical and Musicological Research", which will be composed by the "Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León", the "Universidad Veracruzana", the City University of New York, Rice University and Manchester University.
This network makes three academic sessions in the cities of Guanajuato, Xalapa and Monterrey. The first academic activities' session will be held at the Department of Music (DAAD, CG) from the University of Guanajuato in on April 11 to 15 this year.
In first place, there will be a concert with the pianist Tania Chávez and the soprano Guadalupe Colorado at 12:00 hours. Later from 16:00 to 19:00, both Chávez and Colorado will grant a master class of piano a singing.
Tuesday April 12, there will be a concert from the composing students, and they will present plays from Alejandro Ortiz, Pilar Sánchez, Ángel Méndez, Eli Fuentes Reyna and Jacobo Cerda. The same day there a composing master class.
On the other hand, Wednesday April 13th from 16:00 to 19:00 hours will be a round table of Musicology, in which several experts will present their talks.
The composing masters will offer a concert on Thursday 15th at 12:00 hours, in which they will execute pieces from Emil Awad, José Saldaña, Cuberto Córdova, Ricardo Martínez and Roberto Morales. By the afternoon, there will also be a composing master class.
Likewise, Friday April 15th, the Baroque Ensemble of the University of Guanajuato will present a concert at 12:00 hours, under the baton of their lead director, Dr. Fabrizio Ammetto. To finalize, there will be a second round table with the topic "Artistic creation," in which a group of specialists will speak about their uneasiness.
It is worth mentioning that the organizers on this first academic session, are the researcher-professors of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Fabrizio Ammetto and Dr. Roberto González Manzanares.
