Guanajuato, Gto., April 8, 2016. The University of Guanajuato (UG) will join efforts with the State's Congress, the Department of Education of Guanajuato (SEG), the "Instuto Electoral del Estado de Guanajuato (IEEG) and the "Instituto de la Juventud Guanajuatense (INJUG) for the organization of the Juvenile Parliament of Guanajuato, which will be held from August 10 -12 this year.

At the signing of the interinstitutional agreement for such mean, UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino remarked that this joint effort contributed the strengthening of democracy, "base, corollary and sustenance of other aspirations of our Mexico."

This sum of wills –highlighted—emerges from the conviction that the country can compose a democratic model to become a referent in the world, with the support from the youth, there would be great decisions and that in many aspects "gives us the example."

On his part, the President Councilor from IEEG, Lic. Mauricio Enrique Gúzman Yáñez, pointed out that the politic life of our country demands the formation of a citizenship capable of executing their rights, hence, the importance to give the youth the opportunity to live the experience of being part of the parliament.

INJUG's General Director, Lic. Jorge Alberto Romero Vázquez, said that you need a very participative youth, with a direction and a life project, therefore, he celebrated the signing of this agreement.

While the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato, Eng. Eusebio Vega Pérez, sustained that currently there is an informed youth with a greater critic sense, who leads new forms of expression.

In her message, the President of the State's Congress, C. María Guadalupe Velázquez Díaz recognized the interest of the youth to participate in the Juvenile Parliament, a space for the analysis of proposals that contribute a solution of the problems that worry the people of Guanajuato.

At the event held at the patio of the Legislative Palace were also present the members of the Organizing Committee of the Juvenile Parliament, the C. Leticia Villegas Nava and congressmen Juan Gabriel VIllafaña Covarrubias, Lorenzo Salvador Chávez Salazar and Juan Antonio Méndez Rodríguez.
