Guanajuato, Gto., April 11, 2016. Authorities from the University of Guanajuato (UG) dialogued with representatives from public entities and dependencies, who expressed their ideas, proposals and observations to the Institutional Program of Gender Equity. At the reunion was proposed the possibility to sign an inter institutional collaboration agreement to join efforts in pro of a culture of equality.

UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, sustained that they will not skimp on institutional efforts to attend gender violence; however, since some of the actions are outside the competence environment of the House of Studies, they'll seek collaboration with public organisms.

After thanking the functionaries from the three levels of government for their assistance to this work meeting, he requested to maintain the link with UG, because it will be a joint work that will allow "a more inclusive vision" that enriches both the draft of Institutional Program of Gender equity, and the draft of the Protocol of Immediate Attention to Gender Violence cases.

The Coordinator of the Institutional Program of Gender Equity, Dr. Cirila Cervera Delgado, made a presentation of the work that has been done in the University in the matter of equity, as well as the challenges and main objectives from UGénero.

In her intervention, the General Director of the "Instituto para las Mujeres Guanajuatenses (IMUG)", Lic. Anabel Pulido López, suggested the creation of the figure of ombudsperson, aspect in which representatives from other dependencies coincided, such as Lic. Claudia Gisela Hernández Zamarripa, Responsible of the Unit of Evaluation and Development of the State System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF).

Likewise, she observed the convenience of substituting the term equity for equality to comply with the recommendations made by international organisms in this sense, they planted to incorporate a glossary of the terms handled in the drafts and define the ambience of the application of protocol.

On her part, the Coordinator of "Desarrollo y Participación Juvenil del Instituto de la Juventud Guanajuatense", Lic. Areli Miroslava de Alba Ortega, made available for the University of Guanajuato the workshops that the state dependency offers and are framed in the program UGénero, such as the prevention of violence while dating.

At the reunion assisted representatives from the "Procuraduria General de Justicias del Estado (PGJE)", the "Procuraduría de los Derechos Humanos del Estado de Guanajuato (PDHEG)", the "Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (SSP)" and the "Consejo del Instituto Electoral del Estado de Guanajuato" (IEEG), who made very pointed observations to the documents and delivered in written their proposals to university authorities.

In the same way, the delegate from the "Comisión Ejecutive de Atención a Víctimas del Delito en el Estado de Guanajuato", the Assistant General Director of the "Comisión Ejecutiva de Atención a Victimas del Delito en el Estado de Guanajuato" and the Director of "Atención a la Mujer Guanajuatense", expressed their points of view about UGénero and enriched with their contributions.

From UG, participated in the dialogue table, the Pro Vost, Dr. Héctor Efraín Gutíerrez de la Rosa; the General Comptroller, M. Adriana de Santiago Álvarez; the Director of Planning, M. Josefina Ortiz Medel; the Coordinator of Advisors, M. Benjamín Valdivia and the advisor M. Margarita Arenas Guzmán.
