León, Gto., April 12, 2016.- The University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus Leon will be one of the venues for the Festival of Arts, Sciences and Human Studies that will occur from April 20-24, where there will be the presence of more than 50% of the artistic and divulgation of knowledge activities.
The festival is a sum of efforts between the state government through the Department of Education of Guanajuato, municipal government of Leon through the General Direction of Education, Cultural Forum Guanajuato, "Instituto Estatal de la Cultura a través de la Biblioteca Central Estatal", "Comisión de Deporte del Estado de Guanajuato", the "Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México" (UNAM) through their General Secretary and the "Escuela Nacional de Estudios Superiores" (ENES), Unit Leon and the Research Center of Optics (CIO).
It will develop in several venues in the city with the objective to broaden the cultural offer of the city and offer an eclectic program with activities in the auditorium Jorge Ibargüengoitia from the University of Guanajuato Campus León, Cultural Forum Guanajuato, Citizen's Plaza Griselda Álvarez, Citizen's Plaza Efraín Huerta, Lake Forum, State Central Library, "Unidad Deportiva Enrique Fernández Martínez" and the "Macrocentro Acuático León I".
It will have the collaboration of the Direction of Cultural Extension from UG for the presentation of three artistic groups with more than 50 participants; it is worth mentioning that all activities are free and aimed for the public, and the diversity of the fifty activities within the program is wide since they include talks, children and youth workshops, talks about cultural heritage, climate change, health, astronomy, cycling, in addition, artistic presentations of music, theater, dance, storytellers, movie projection and programs for the physical activity.
There will also be an open office for the public in all the citizen macro-plazas Griselda Álvarez and "Las Joyas" where, for free, they'll detect glucose levels, size measurement, among other services for the citizens.
In this way, the University of Guanajuato reaffirms its commitment with society and sets a bridge to offer different artistic, cultural, scientific and sport proposals during the four days during the festival. The general program of the Festival is available in the webpage www.ugto.mx/campusleon.
