Guanajuato, Gto., April 13, 2016.- Authorities from the University of Guanajuato (UG) gathered with people from Federal Delegations with the objective to create an alliance that allows implementing joint actions in favor of society.

Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, UG's General Rector précised that the purpose at the meeting is to encourage the link between the House of Studies and the representation of the Federal Government in the state of Guanajuato.

In this matter, he presented the priorities that currently define the work form UG and pointed-out the transcendence to achieve a linking process, "we are obliged to answer society," he highlighted, when assuming the social commitment of linking with several actors to contribute in addressing social problems.

Using the word, Lic. Javier Aguirre Vizzuett, Delegate from the "Secretaría de Gobernación", ratified the commitment of the Federal Government, led by Lic. Enrique Peña Nieto, with the state of Guanajuato. He pointed-out that the commitment is comprehensive with citizen organizations, entities from the civil organization and every social sector. "There is a very punctual commitment with the 46 cities throughout the state, with no difference."

Likewise, exposed that the state of Guanajuato is one of the few entities where they have integrated joint actions from the 55 delegations, organized in nine sectorial cabinets, with which they have made an outstanding investment, with a budget of more than 69 million pesos, invested in 46 cities of Guanajuato.

On her behalf, Dr. María Guadalupe Ojeda Vargas, Rector from Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, Dr. Ernesto Alfredo Camarena Aguilar, Rector from Campus Irapuato-Salamanca and Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, Rector of Campus Leon, as well as M. Martha Oliva Gallaga Ortega, Director of the High School College, exposed the situation that every university space is living, with projects, work sites and progress; furthermore, recognized the importance of signing the agreement, pointing out the great opportunity to collaborate with the representation of the federal government.

M. Sergio Santibáñez, IMSS's delegate, reaffirmed the permanent link with UG, therefore, manifested his willingness to contribute to the work developed in the institution, with a vision of transversality and innovation.

In her intervention, Lic. Claudia Brígida Navarrete, Delegate from the "Secretaria de Desarrollo Social", highlighted the importance of formalizing and instrumenting the work in coordination with UG. "We had the opportunity to work with youth from the University in programs such as "Cruzada contra el Hambre," in general, we have made a very coordinated work, with palpable results," he explained, reiterating her willingness to work together.

At the dialogue table, also was the presence of Lic. Jorge Enrique Mendizábal del Caastillo, Delegate from the "Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales"; Lic. Diego Martínez Hidalgo, Sub-delegate of the "Secretaria de Economia"; Lic. Victor Hugo Pineda Martínez; Delegate of the "Secretaria de Agricultura, Ganaderia, Desarrollo Rural, Pesca y Alimentación"; Lic. José Leoncio Pineda Godos, Delegate of the "Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transportes"; Lic. Fernando Bribiesca Sahagún, Delegate of the "Secretaria de Educación" and Lic. Sergio Ramón Tovar Alvarado, Delegate of the "Instituto Nacional de ANtropología e Historia".

From UG, were present Dr. Héctor Efraín Rodríguez de la Rosa, Pro Vost; Dr. José Luis Lucio Martínez, Academic Secretary; M. Jorge Alberto Romero Hidalgo, Secretary of Managements and Development, and M. Margarita Arenas Guzmán, Advisor of the General Rector.
