Guanajuato, Gto., a 13 de abril de 2016.- The Symphonic Orchestra of the University of Guanajuato (OSUG, for its acronym in Spanish), returns after thirteen years to the northeast of the state, this time, to the city of Doctor Mora.
OSUG will have a concert in Doctor Mora on Thursday April 14th at 18:00 in the city's "Polideportivo". This outstanding event will happen thanks for the efforts and collaborations made with other institutions. Such is the case, of the support from the "Instituto Estatal de la Cultura" (IEC) and from municipal authorities so OSUG's music reaches more public, especially the one far from urban centers.
In an interview, OSUG's director, M. Roberto Beltrán Zavala, pointed that a strategy to take cultural events to different cities is to build alliances as UG has done years ago with the IEC, instance from where the support has come to provide better results. "We are interested in collaborating with IEC for many things besides this concert, since they are who have experience, vision and pulse of the state to know about infrastructure and cultural needs."
M. Beltrán reiterated that the institutional collaboration produces the best results, "IEC has a fundamental role in the orchestra activities, it now has a very tight relationship with the Direction of Cultural Extension and that allows us to reach more people and create more culture".
Equally, he thanked for the support received by municipal authorities from Doctor Mora, represented by the Mayor Lic. Christian Flavio Ríos García, who was a deep enthusiasm to receive OSUG in his region.
It is worth mentioning that OSUG will play a musical repertoire from the XVIII century and will be accompanied by the soloist, Asaf Kolerstein, an outstanding international cellist.
At first, they'll interpret the play "Concert for Cello in D major, Hob VIIb: 2" from the composer Franz Joseph Haydn. Afterwards, they will play "The Brandenburg concert no.3 in G major" from Johann Sebastian Bach and lastly; the attendees will be able to hear the "Symphony no.7 in C major, Hob I:7 Le Midi" also from Franz Joseph Haydn.
The concert in Doctor More will be free. For more information, please visit the following site: www.extensión.ugto.mx
