Guanajuato, Gto. April 14, 2016.- With the finality to strengthen the programs to benefit the society in Guanajuato, there was a work meeting between the University of Guanajuato and the "Sistema Estatal para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia" (DIF).

In his intervention, the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, said that there must be awareness and commitment to address the social issues with a humanist sense, reason which the link between these two institutions is reinforced to provide better results for the people in Guanajuato.

He assured that DIF will have the university support, to contribute in all the reviewed topics during the work meeting, and generate a high-impact system, through the Direction of Liaison of UG.

On her behalf, the President from state's DIF, Mrs. Eugenia Carreño de Márquez, said that the programs DIF makes, have positively permeated on society, benefiting children, youth, adults and elders.

She added that they pretend to generate awareness and provide tools to the people they work with, and assured that with UG's validation, they will benefit more people. "Guanajuato expects a lot from us, and this is a good opportunity" she finalized.

During the reunion, they reviewed the programs DIF currently implements in benefit for the families in Guanajuato.

This has the finality to establish a liaison that allows UG to participate in DIF's active programs; with the support from the four campuses of this house of studies, to strengthen these projects and at the same time benefit in an optimal way and with great coverage throughout the state.

It is important to mention that there will be a follow-up of this work table, to enrich the topics with the done proposals from UG, under the initiative from DIF, which will allow to permeate in the comprehensive development of its students and society itself.
