Guanajuato, Gto., a 14 de abril de 2016.- Committed to generate actions that benefit society, a group of students from High School Salamanca from the University of Guanajuato (UG), are part of the "Ultraviolet" community, a non-profit organization which works to help the needier.

In an interview, the student Said Díaz from second semester, who collaborates in the organization, commented that many students from HS Salamanca perform altruist work for three years now.

Said Díaz went outside the school's yards to raise funds with the student community, and in that way be able to help buy medication for a senior and a kid who suffer from cancer. In the matters, he mentioned that after getting the economic support, there was a counting, so they could buy the medicine of give the money directly to the people with a specific need.

"We investigate who has problems and who are the needier of our community, and they also ask for our help. We currently support people not only from Salamanca, but also from Valle de Santiago and Juventino Rosas" highlighted the student.

In addition of raising funds, they have other actions, "sometimes we go to public parking lots or malls to verify the cars that don't need the disabled parking space, leave it free for who does. We have also reforested, planted trees in different places," said Said.

At the end, he invited all the students to involve with altruist work be that in "Ultraviolet" or any other organization and even on their own, since this, "benefits our ambiance and helps us grow as people" he indicated.

It is worth mentioning that "Ultraviolet" is an organization where people move to defend the human rights, they also care for other topics such as health care, economic stability, violence, reproductive rights, racial justice and immigration.
