Guanajuato, Gto., April 14, 2016.- To commemorate the 400th death anniversary of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, the theater group "Eugenio Trueba", from the Division of Law, Politics and Government from Campus Guanajuato; will present this Friday April 22nd at 19:00 hours, in the patio of the Ex-Convent Jesuita, the "entremeses" "El viejo celoso" and "La cueva de Salamanca", under the direction of Arturo David Gutierrez Márquez.
Such "entremeses" will be preceded by another theatrical piece: "Cervantes por todas partes" (Cervantes everywhere) from the M. Eugenio Trueba Olivares, which inaugurated a cultural festival that took that name in the 90's, at the Ex-hacienda of San José del Carmen from the city of Salvatierra.
The theater group "Eugenio Trueba" was founded in May 2002 as a mean of artistic expression from the student in the Faculty of Law, and since then, they have successfully presented throughout their trajectory the plays "Forbidden to judge twice" and "Forget my past", from M. Eugenio Trueba.
Likewise, "Forbidden to suicided in Spring", from Alejandro Casona; "There isnt's a worse lie that half the truth", from Arnaud Barquin, under the imitation of José Ulanga and Algocín; the sketch "Music of stone", from Carlos Etxeba and, in the past Book fair, the entremés "El viejo celoso", from Miguel Cervantes.
According to Arturo Souto in his text "Entremeses de Miguel de Cervantes", Collection "Sepan cuántos..." Editorial Porrúa, Mexico, 2005, that "the matters and structure of the "Entremeses de Cervantes" are varied. They are simple: the judge of divorce. The widower ruffian and the choice of majors of Daganzo, in which there's almost no "comic fable". More complex in their matter, in their dramatic conflict, in their theatric resources are. "El retablo de las maravillas", "La cueva de Salamanca" and "El viejo celoso".
The "Entremeses Cervantes" presents –individualized—a rich gallery of the contemporary portraits: soldiers, laborers, maids, sacristan, musicians, gypsies, old guys, hidalgos, surgeons, malmaridadas, courtesans, artisans, prostitutes, scribes; a rich variety, from the social world of Spain from the XVII century in which there's always allusions to concrete contemporary facts".
