Irapuato, Gto., April 16, 2016.- After being selected from the summon "Road to Japan 2016", students from Campus Irapuato-Salamanca from the University of Guanajuato, prepare to show in the Asian country the traditions from their indigenous communities.

Quetzal Salgado Heiman, student from the Division of Life Science, is from the community of Victoria, Gto, and is coursing the program in Food Engineering in the venue Irapuato.

When he presented his project to members on the jury, the student dressed with the "maxtle", "pectoral", "tilma", sash, shield, knee pads, bracelets and "tenabaris" in the ankles, that compose the attire of the "concheros", a ritual prehispanic Mexican tradition he practices.

Also as representative from the indigenous culture, was selected María Guadalupe Vázquez Hernández, who is a student from the Interdisciplinary Center of the Northeast of Guanajuato, located in Tierra Blanca. She used a "huipil" and "enagüillas" for her interview in which she also defended her project.

Jaime Loyola Rangel, is another student selected, who is studying Computing Systems in the Division of Engineering in Salamanca. He is a participative young man, who last year won the essay contest on political-democratic culture from the "Instituto Estatal Electoral de Guanajuato" (IEEG) in the city of Salamanca. He likes to research and write about history of Mexico and citizen's participation. He didn't participate in the category of a representative of the indigenous culture.

Next Tuesday will be the flagging of the youth who, same as other selected students from different campus and higher-education institutions, will travel to Japan from May 20th to 30th.

The summon road to Japan was issued by the State Government of Guanajuato through EDUCAFIN in coordination with "Reiyukai de México A.C". The interested students presented and autobiography, and a video-trajectory where the applicant shows evidence of their leadership and social commitment.

In past years, student Mariana Ramírez, from the Division of Life Sciences, was selected to live this international experience that with no doubt marked her life positively.
