Guanajuato, Gto., April 19, 2016. As part of the diffusion activities made by the Class José Revueltas of Literature and Philosophy, this Thursday, April 21st, will homage the Mexican writer, politician and philosopher, in his 40th death anniversary on past April 14th.

The homage will begin with a discussion table on the life and work of the thinker from Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, in which Dr. Aureliano Ortega, Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies; Dr. Rodolfo Cortés del Moral, Director of the Department of Philosophy from the same division, and Dr. Elba Margarita Sánchez Rolón, academic and responsible of the class, will participate. Afterwards, there will be an open lecture for all the attendants, who have been asked to bring fragments of literary, philosophical or political work from Revueltas to read in this commemoration.

The Class José Revueltas of Literature and Philosophy was founded on November 7th 2014 in the city of Guanajuato by a team of researcher-professors and students from the areas of human studies, with the primary objective to integrate a teacher-student community that could merge in research and diffusion projects about the interrelation between the areas of literature and philosophy.

Covers this objective by giving homage to one of the most important Mexican writers from the XX century, who outstood in his career for converging several knowledge areas through novels, poetry, essays and even scripts for films, and whose personality and critique character inspired the ambitious project of this class, hence; it carries his name.

The invitation for this homage is open to the university community and the public. The date is Thursday April 21st at 18:00 at Casa Cuatro (San José 4, Downtown).
