
Guanajuato, Gto., April 19, 2016.- Dr. Koichi Niihara, who just been distinguished by the University of Guanajuato (UG) with the Doctorate Honoris Causa, in his visit by the house of studies, spent some time with students from HS Guanajuato.
Dr. Niihara, outstanding scientist and ex-Rector of Nagaoka University of Technology, developed an important role for the creation of the Technological Baccalaureate with International Profile (BTPI, for its acronym in Spanish), known as the "Mexican kosen" at UG.
In a meeting in the facilities of HS Guanajuato, the Director of the school, QFB. Martha Oliva Gallaga Ortega, welcomed Dr. Niihara, to whom he thanked the support given for the realization and start of the BTPI at UG, in addition of recognizing their academic trajectory in Japanese institutions.
Students could spend time with the renowned scientist during a talk where he expressed the taste for being in this country and mainly in the University of Guanajuato, as well as telling his academic trajectory, at the same time, he made a call for all the students to overcome themselves.
During this visit to the ENMS, Dr. Koichi Niihara made a tour for the laboratory of chemistry, the auditorium, the library and other spaces within the building, where Dr. Niihara, thanked the directors for allowing him seeing the facilities.
Finally, he thanked and recognized the role the maximum house of studies is doing for the state to strengthen the bond between Japanese institutions and that the Mexican youth have the opportunity to make their international studies.
At the event were present, the Director of High School, QFB. Martha Oliva Gallaga Ortega, HS Academic Secretary, Dr. Jesús Raúl Lugo Martínez, HS Guanajuato Academic Secretary, IQ. Olga Alejandra Carrillo Flores and the Administrative Coordinator, IQ. Juan Manuel Medel Marín, as well as students from the BTPI and professors from the institution.
