Guanajuato, Gto., April 20, 2016.- The University of Guanajuato (UG) launches the invitation for the XI National Colloquium "Efraín Huerta" of Language and Literature, through the Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies from Campus Guanajuato, the Department of Spanish Letters and the Students' Society of Spanish Letters (SALE Valenciana), to be held from 19 to 23 in September in this city.
The students from Spanish Letters from the University of Guanajuato, Bertha Cristina Gaona Treviño and Alba Jazmín Yépez Vidal, who are part of SALE Valenciana, reminded that the "National Colloquium Efraín Huerta of Language and Literature" has been made for eleven years, each time with a central topic that emerges from the "poemínimos" (mini poetries) of "Cocodrilo" (Crocodile).
This year, the peomínimo that will distinguish the Colloquium will be "Taruspidez", that says "when I decide to do stupid things, I don't allow anyone to stop me".
This eleventh edition will have the commemorative framework of the 100 years after the publication of the course of applied linguistics by Ferdinand de Saussure, so within the encounter, they will develop a panel of linguistics with several guests to take this discipline closer to the public.
They will also include the second edition of the "jornadas malditas" (cursed journeys) that last year was dedicated to Marquis de Sade and this time will be for Howard Phillips Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe.
It is a project, explained the organizers, that has the objective of summoning students from all the country so besides attending Magister conferences and workshops; they have a space for presentation and comments from their work and there's feedback in a national level.
All events are open to public and of course for students from all UG's divisions, and, even when the enclosures are yet to be defined, the Museum of the People and the Iconographic Museum of el Quijote, among others, are considered.
