Guanajuato, Gto., April 20, 2016.- Students from both High-schools from the University of Guanajuato that are in León, joined to begin the and start a musical project named "United Instrumental Orchestra HS León-Centro Histórico" (Orquesta Instrumental Unida ENMS León-Centro Histórico).

Such orchestra is formed by students and directed by the same, as defined for their director, the student Julio David Gómez Hernández, as a "musical learning space, where every member has the freedom to propose, have the same opportunities, interpret and work in teams".

Equally, he indicated that the United Instrumental Orchestra is an autonomous artistic group, that as one of the main purposes is to promote composing and interpretation through collaborative work.

This musical initiative, emerged when the orchestra formed in February 2015 in HS Leon, afterwards they joined other enthusiast students from HS Leon Centro Histórico and that is how this project was born.

The group is a total initiative from the students, who are vehement for music, reason why; they have a genuine interest to learn diverse techniques, instruments, as well as creating musical plays and generate an interpretative quality of the same.

Currently, the United Instrumental Orchestra is integrated by the director, who has the function of representing it before diverse authorities, sign agreements and lead the Orchestra in its presentations.

It is also formed by an HS general coordinator, who schedules the rehearsals working together with the director; another member is the sub-coordinator of instruments, who has the function of supporting the instrumentalists providing agility to interpret the pieces, equally gives support in the composing ambiance.

"The project began with seven members, currently we are more than 40 people who are in the orchestra, and we wait to grow in 10 years and position with orchestras at the level of OSUG," said the director.

He also mentioned that to choose the plays they would interpret, in first place, they asked themselves what would people like and decided to play the most popular instrumental music genre, "we also play music from more commercial groups to attract people and feel identified," he mentioned.
At the compass of a drums, guitars, percussion, clarinets, base, a cello, a counter bass and flutes, the members from the United Instrumental Orchestra HS Leon-Centro Histórico have made diverse representation in the open, "we go to plazas, we start playing and people are wowed. We have had very good response", asserted Julio David Gómez.

They have also presented in the Main Square of Centro Histórico at the city of Leon, as well as one of the stations of public transport in Leon, named "orugas" (caterpillars).

These young students pretend to continue showing their talent and their entrepreneurship through the diffusion of music and constant innovation at the time to present in public.
