Guanajuato, Gto., April 21, 2016.- Athletes from the University of Guanajuato (UG) continue with the active participation in the competitions from different disciplines during the "Universiada Nacional 2016," in its regional stage.

The "Universiada Nacional 2016" is organized by the "Consejo Nacional del Deporte de la Educación (CONDDE) and in their regional phase, as the location, the "Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí" and is done from April 18 to 24 of the year in course.

The University of Guanajuato is the institution that has more athletes on the state of Guanajuato, with the participation 160 sports men and women who boost the sport.

During this stage and until now, the teams from the maximum house of studies have obtained the victory in the following sports: female soccer, male soccer and male fast soccer.

Other participant disciplines in the eliminatory in the regional phase are: athletics, weightlifting, table tennis, court volleyball, judo, karate, taekwondo, baseball, among others.
