Guanajuato, Gto., April 23, 2016.- One of the most important aspects in the Plan for Institutional Development of the University of Guanajuato, is that it must have an ambitious project in the cultural bar, and the Division of Architecture, Art and Design (DAAD), among others, needs to develop a fundamental role in it, contribute in achieving indicators, and of course, continue preparing academically.

So it was held by M. Juan Martín Aguilera Morales, Director of DAAD, in an interview on the challenges of the maximum house of studies and the already consolidated achievements, among which there have been some fundamental, he said, in the matters of educative offer, development of academic personnel, comprehensive development of the student, improvement of the substantial functions and promotion of the management and infrastructure.

Among the achievements concluding 2015, M. Aguilera Morales highlighted, in the matter of the development of academic personnel in which 10 DAAD's professors were part of the National Researchers System (SNI), and five were benefited in the summons of the Program for the Teachers Professional Development (PRODEP).

Equally, an academic from the Department of Architecture participated as an evaluator from the University of Guanajuato, in the National Evaluations of PRODEP of Academic Bodies (CA), made in Mexico City and the Academic Body "Musicology," received the record of consolidated.

Regarding the comprehensive development of the student, just to mention some, DAAD's Director remembered Enrique López Llamas, student from the degree in Plastic Arts, who was selected within program of Young Creators and Interpreters from the Program of Stimuli to the Creation and Artistic Development Aguascalientes.

He also mentioned José Francisco Ramírez Rodríguez, student from the Department of Music, who made an international residence in the following events: Master Class taught by Leo Brouwer; Course of Classical Guitar within the XVII festival "Ciutat D' Elx", International Contest "Alfirio Díaz Per Giovani Chitarristi", in which he obtained the second place; Contest of the XVII festival "Ciutat D' Elx", where he received the second place.

Likewise, Pamela D'Liz Rocha, student from the degree in Plastic Arts, who was a winner of the first place in the category Entrepreneur project in Art of the Contest of Creativity and Innovation "Light your ideas", organized through the Direction of Liaison, pageant in which 108 projects participated.

As for José Carlos Cardona Méndez, won, in a team, the first place of the 2nd encounter of Architecture students 2015, state contest summoned by the School of Architects of Leon A.C., with the "Conceptual Project for the Regional Hospital of High Specialty from Bajío and Support Unit".

Berenice Arnold Hernández, graduate from the degree in Plastic Arts, was selected to obtain support within the category of Young creators from the program of Stimuli to the creation and the Artistic Development 2014-2015 organized by CONACYT and the work from the graduate Marlen Reyes Pérez was selected to exhibit in the Biennial of Florence, Italy.

In the bar of research from professors, said that they edited eight books and three magazines, with the participation of 64 professors and the edition of three CDs and presence in 12 forums and national congresses in the areas of Architecture, Music, Plastic Arts and Design, achieving a national and international participation of more than 165 professors and 1,700 students.

Finally, he commented, in editorial matter, throughout 2015, DAAD made several publications in which they materialize the work of research developed for his academic body, among them the titles: "Pecados capitales en las artes y el diseño" of María Isabel de Jesús Téllez García; "El Patrimonio Cultural Fúnebre de la ciudad de Guanajuato", coordinated by Manuel Sánchez & "Red de estudios críticos en el arte y el diseño" of Cynthia Villagómez, Juan Carlos Saldaña and Margarita Romero.
