Guanajuato, Gto., April 25, 2016.- With the objective to recognize their participation and effort during the XXV National Olympics of Chemistry, university authorities handed awards to winner students and advisors from the High Schools from the University of Guanajuato (UG).

Representing the General Rector of UG, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, the Director of Liaison, Dr. Salvador Hernández Castro highlighted that the 189 participants in this Olympics are an example of tenacity for the community and invited them to continue their preparation to continue harvesting success in benefit of society.

The students who were recognized are: silver medal winners, Agata Marta Wrobel Kaczmarczyk from HS Guanajuato, Johan Axel Alfaro Valadez from HS Centro Histórico León and Cynthia Ximena Luna González from HS León; for obtaining the bronze medal, Carol Herrera Ramírez from HS Centro Histórico Leon and Genaro Aldana Chávez from HS La Salle Bajío, Campus America; Adrian Alejandro Martínez Salazar from HS Leon.

On the other hand, the advisors who obtained an award for their work and support during this Olympics are: M. María del Carmen Rodríguez Robelo, professors Miguel Ángel Ruiz Torres, Ana Cristina Esqueda Oliva and Salvador Renteria Hernández.

From her part, the Director of the High School College, QFB. Martha Oliva Gallaga Ortega said that this participation requires the work of many people, who have proven a firm and tenacious commitment for the fulfillment of their goals.

At the event were present the General Director of Planning, Design and Evaluation from the Sub-secretary of high and higher education from SEG, Eng. Luis Rafael Sánchez González; State delegate of the Olympics of Chemistry, Dr. Victor Manuel Mejía Cobos; and the Academic Secretary from High School and State delegate of the Olympics of Chemistry, Dr. Jesús Raúl Lugo Martínez.
