The course seeks to diminish risks in operational procedures.

Celaya, Gto., April 26, 2016.- With the purpose to diminish the risks in operational procedures under medical methodologies, Dr. Eliseo López Flores, gynecologist and specialist in bioethics, will offer in the Division of Health Science and Engineering from Campus Celaya-Salvatierra of the University of Guanajuato (UG), the course-workshop named "Alianza Mundial en la seguridad del paciente" (World Alliance in the patient's safety).

Such activity will be done in the southern venue of the Campus next May 4 and 5, as revealed by Dr. López Flores, in a press conference where he was accompanied by Dr. Irma Jiménez and Dr. Gilberto Márquez, who will be speakers.

This workshop will last 20 hours, and it will be developed in fifteen topics, among them: Bioethics and patient's safety, relationship patient-family, quality of attention, affective communication and use of protocols, among others. The course is directed to medics, nurses, medicine and nursery students and professionals of health.

About Bioethics, Dr. López Flores explained that "is treating the other as if it where myself and throughout the workshop, the attendees will able to see the panorama of the prevention of accidents in a 70% of the cases, therefore, if the quality of service increases, the number of lawsuits will surely diminish in the area of health."

To conclude, the instructor commented that "it is a new form of treating the patient within the hospital area, in cases where it has been implemented for Latin America, the frequency of adverse events after this system was applied, is from 6 to 16 percent in medical reports, hence, mitigates the accidents that could have occurred during the patient's stay and the procedures he is under.
