University of Guanajuato signs a collaboration agreement with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Guanajuato, Gto., April 27, 2016.- With the finality to strengthen the links of academic cooperation abroad, there was a signing of a collaboration agreement between the University of Guanajuato (UG) and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino; the Rector of Campus Leon of UG, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez; and the Director of Academic Cooperation, Dr. Sergio Antonio Silva Muñoz, traveled to United States, where they met with the Rector of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Dr. Mark A. Mone.

During his intervention, Dr. Guerrero Agripino expressed that "the universities are bound to break frontiers and build bridges of collaboration and fraternity."

In this meeting, was highlighted the interest from the North American institution in the attention of the Hispanic community, particularly the Mexican. Likewise, they defined the disciplinary areas and objects of study to establish such bonds.

This agreement pretends to provide the opportunity to professors and students of both university communities to participate in specific collaboration projects, which, through the experience abroad work in benefit of society.

It is worth mentioning that with the signing of this agreement, the following academic programs will be benefited: the degrees in Nursing, in Biomedical Engineering, in Medical Surgeon, Master in Water Science and Health programs in general.
