Guanajuato, Gto., April 27, 2016.- Within activities of the European Film Festival in Guanajuato (GUCE for its acronym in Spanish), the journalist and TV presenter in Spain, Esmeralda Marugán, gives the workshop of journalism and Audiovisual language, developed from April 25-27 in the facilities of the University of Guanajuato (UG).

Majored in Sciences of the Information by the "Universidad Complutense of Madrid", Esmeralda has made activities in several communication means, that have turned her into a referent in press, radio and TV in her homeland.

In an interview, Esmeralda Marugán said that she is very excited by giving this workshop, in which she shares with the participants her knowledge in the audiovisual journalism ambiance. Likewise, she highlighted that this experience allows the coexistence among people who speak the same language and that have had an opportunity to work in different areas of Communication.

On the other hand, she mentions that communication professionals have the obligation of working for a social commitment, in her case, this commitment is with women, since they show every day the effort they make get ahead.

She also explained that the journalist must not judge, the obligation is to ask and dare to inform what he/she listened and then let the public create its own opinion, since the respect for people is transcendental.

For her, the universities have an important role in the performance of Communication, since truth is the base of knowledge and the institutions are the carriers of such, which allows the students to generate awareness about the situations that haunt society.

It is worth mentioning that currently, Esmeralda Marugán, directs and presents the TV program "Confidencias", collaborates with the Magazine Mía, she is a professor in the Courses of Formation on "Audiovisual Language" organized by the "Universidad Politécnica de Valencia", and other activities related to this discipline.

Furthermore, she works in a project called "Mujeres de Cristal" (Women of crystal) that has the objective to gather women who share their experiences through life. Together with Eliseo de Pablos Viejo, GUCE's Director, seeks to take this project to the big screen, for both Spain and Mexico.
