Guanajuato, Gto., May 7, 2016.- The Symphonic Orchestra of the University of Guanajuato (OSUG), began its 64th anniversary's concert, in the Teatro Juárez, with the interpretation of the symphonic orchestra "Flirtatious Dance" of Jan Kuhr.

There was only a piece played from this initial piece, Part I Festival Dance, which seeks to show through music, the tension among people and their reactions to get a partner and dance.

In this OSUG Gala, attended UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino representing the university community, acknowledging the first permanent professional orchestra from a Mexican university.

One of the most sublime moments during the evening, OSUG displayed its virtuosity in the violin concert no. 1 in G minor of Max BRUCH, in collaboration with violinist Marina Meerson, who captivated the audience with the first notes.

Remarkable musical piece with three movements, however, in this gala they made emphasis in the Vorspiel: Allegro moderato, introduction that contrasts the passionate and cantabile calling of the soloist and the orchestra's dramatist.

Under the direction of M. Roberto Beltrán Zavala, the violinist Marina Meerson felt home after the ovation given by the audience for such excellent interpretation.

Another of the musical pieces in the concert was "The Fantastic Symphony" of Berlioz, written in 1830 and still wonders through its five movements bases in a literary program, that in this case, it has an autobiographic feature.

To finalize, the public fare welled OSUG from its anniversary concert in Teatro Juárez, with a long and thunderous applause, excited, the musicians, the director and violinist thanked the attendees.

Also present were the Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández; the Rector of Campus León, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez; the Rector of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, Dr. Ma. Guadalupe Ojeda Vargas; the Rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. Ernesto Alfredo Camarena Aguilar; among other university authorities.
