
Guanajuato, Gto., May 6, 2016.- With the objective to reaffirm the social commitment the University of Guanajuato (UG) has with society, there will be the 2nd Science Fair in the city of Tierra Blanca, Guanajuato.
The event is organized by the Professor of the Inter-Disciplinary Center of the Northeast from the University of Guanajuato (CINUG for its acronym in Spanish), M. Ericka Urbiola Rangel and students, who will share their knowledge and experiences so the attendees know the reach of the projects developed by UG students.
The Fair has the purpose to motivate and stimulate the scientific callings and creativity in children and youth in this city, and it will occur this May 25th of the present year.
This activity will have the participation of students from the following guest institutions: Elementary School Miguel Hidalgo of the Congregación Indígena Otomí of San Idelfonso de Cieneguilla, Elementary School Ignacio Ramírez. Technical Junior High School No. 23 and Junior High School of the Ejercito Mexicano.
It is important to mention that CINUG's students make diverse activities that diffuse the university know-how with the objective to reiterate their responsibility and commitment to the environment.
Student from Agronomy Engineering will explain the topic of hydroponic culture of lettuce, inflorescences and parts of plants; for Food engineering, they will talk about vitamins and medicinal plants, alcohol fermentation and fruit crystallizing.
In the case of Renewable-Energy engineering, the topic will be pollution, reuse and water saving, filter for gray water, DNA and Hydraulic generator. As for the degree in Nursing and Midwifery, they will share information on prevention of accidents, and the topic titled "I love my myself; I take care myself; I live healthy."
