
Guanajuato, Gto., May 5, 2016.- From May 5 to 7, in the facilities of the University of Guanajuato, it will take place the "First National Congress of Law, Political Science and Public Management Students," organized by youth from the Division of Law, Politics and Government (DDPG) from Campus Guanajuato in which will participate more than 15 higher education institutions.
M. Mauricio Alejandro Murillo de la Rosa, Attorney General of the University of Guanajuato, representing Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, General Rector; welcomed the attending youth and congratulated the students for the organization of this encounter.
In current times, there is a need for focus in diverse disciplines such as public management that every day, he said, is more complicated, with more necessities that must be addresses in every democratic state, since the perspectives of public administration have changed and that is why it is pertinent to analyze the topics.
"The University of Guanajuato provides them with a warm reception, you're home" emphasized M. Murillo de la Rosa, who wished them fruitful work, because they will also work for society.
Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector of Campus Guanajuato, inaugurated the works from these activities and in his message highlighted that the discussion topics, are related with urgent problems in the contemporary society that cannot find solving proposals from the government cells but with the broad participation of social sectors, mainly from people with reflexive capacity, such as the students.
These type of congresses, concluded Dr. Corona Fernández, allows to discuss common interest problems and it is also the link between universities to argue about these topics and seek solutions to conflicts of current problems.
On his part, the student Alejandro Domínguez López Velarde, Coordinator of the National Congress, reminded that the idea of this encounter began with his own assistance to a National Congress, hence, he dedicated to organize it from the University of Guanajuato and give a student nature to the works, where students will take the word to develop the topics that cover the three themed subjects, and propose solutions in the social, political and academic context.
Also participated in the ceremony, Dr. Eduardo Pérez Alonso, Director of the Department of Law, representing Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta, Director of DDPG and Francisco Manuel Fernández García, student from the University of Leon, Campus Celaya as representative of the participant universities.
The themed axis that will develop in this Congress will be: corruption, professional ethics, transparency and account adjustment of the public servants; the exterior policy in Mexico and the new international environmental policies; the State of Law and Media Power in democracies.
Likewise: political parties and electoral system after elections in Mexico; social movements, collective action and citizenship; indigenous people, ethnicity and identity as a political matter; drugs and trafficking: security policies and public health; communication media, public opinion and freedom of expression.
In addition: human rights, equality and equity, LGBTTI; economic and social policies: average class, inequality and margination; new tendencies and current orientations of law and the new legal justice system and its incorporation in Mexico.
