Guanjuato, Gto., May 5, 2016.- High School Irapuato from the University of Guanajuato (UG) celebrated 65 years of working in benefit of the society in Irapuato.

Representing the university community, UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino recognized the effort of who has and currently form part of the HS Irapuato, since they made this reality possible.

Also, he recognized that the presence of UG in a city, means better opportunities, an area developed for youth and an approximation with society, which generates people occupied in making positive contributions for the environment.

HS Irapuato's Director, M. Raquel Castro Soriano reminded that an April 29, 1951, there was the official inauguration of HS Irapuato, which has been renown through the years thanks to the work, performance and leadership of the different directors, academic, administrative personnel, students and graduates.

On his part, the Municipal President of Irapuato, Architect Ricardo Ortíz Gutiérrez, who was recognized for being and ex-student of HS Irapuato, said that despite the years, every time he returns to this institution, he feels like home. Besides, he thanked what he learned in high school, because that knowledge has been a fundamental pillar in his professional life development.

During the anniversary ceremony, they handed recognitions to ex-directors and ex-students from High School Irapuato for their commitment with the institution and contribution to the development of the same.

It is worth mentioning that the event had the artistic intervention of the Musical Ensemble composed by HS Irapuato's students, led by M. Israel García.

To this commemoration assisted the Director of High School College, QFB. Martha Oliva Gallaga Ortega; the Academic Secretary from High School Irapuato, Lic. Karina Castro Barrita and university authorities.
