Guanajuato, Gto., May 10, 2016. With the inauguration of the photo exposition "The history of dance in the University of Guanajuato", officially began the activities of the third edition of the Festival Dialogues of Dance, made by the artistic groups and workshops related with this discipline in the Direction of Cultural Extension from the University of Guanajuato.

The festival made from May 9 to 13, seeks to consolidate as a space open to the dance scene, through activities such as workshops, scenic proposals and projection of video dances.

The activities began this Monday May 9th, date in which the workshops "Ballet techniques and Pas de Deux", "Afro-contemporary", "Flamenco" and "Mix techniques" started.

There was an inauguration at night, with the photo show "The history of dance in the University of Guanajuato", a selection of 43 images that reveal the work from the members of the groups Foro Libre, Génesis, Danza Clásica, Ballet Folklorico from the University of Guanajuato (BAFUG).

The photographs were chosen by the professors of the artistic groups: from Genesis, Susana Olivia Bustamante García; from Danza Clásica, Santa Mónica Amaro Izquierdo; from BAFUG, Roberto Martínez Rocha and from Foro Libre, Jorge Armando Gasca Rocha.

Also within this festival, this Tuesday 10 at 19:30 at the Teatro Principal, the Dance Company EOS with "De Amor y Tragedias" will present.

Throughout the week, you could appreciate the work from the group Genesis with "Urban interventions", as well as Pa de Deux with "Corsair"; and the Laboratory of Archaic Dance, who will present "Andadura".

Dialogues of Dance seeks to create interest in the public of this discipline, and promote an education in scenic arts. In this sense, they have activities programmed in alternative spaces, such is the case of BAFUG, who on Thursday 12 at 17:00 will present "Danzoneando en la plaza" in the Union Garden Kiosk. Likewise, Foro Libre on Friday 13 at 18:00 will present "El país de los patos" to the Stairway of Teatro Juárez.
