Guanajuato, Gto., MAy 6, 2016.- The Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, was a special guest in the 17th International Encounter of Co-existence and Universal Brotherhood organized from May 6 to 14, by the Vicil Association "San Miguel en Marcha" and the Municipal Presidence of San Miguel De Allende, under an extensive cultural program.

This time, the International Encounter developed under a special program in which, in a solemn city hall's session, the diplomatic body accredited in our country, was named distinguished visitor. The central objective of the reunion, as remarked by the Coordinator of the Civil Association, Mr. Luis Ferro de la Sota, was to strengthen the cultural identity and the peaceful co-existence disregarding language, religion or race.

In an interview, Dr. Corona Fernández notices that the University of Guanajuato has always had the liaison with cultural and academic activities that develop in San Miguel de Allende, city in which will be taught from August, the Master degree in Site and Monument Restoration.

The rector highlighted that the plan for Campus Guanajuato, is to increase the presence of educational programs, mainly from postgraduates in this city and for San Miguel de Allende to be the conduit to collaborate with other cities north of the state that have architectonic richness.

The masters, said, is aimed for students with a bachelor degree in architecture, in urban development, civil engineering and even chemistry, and revealed that in a following moment, will also open the Master degree in Urban Planning.

Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, had a chance to dialogue with the Coordinator of Extension of UNAM in San Miguel de Allende, Dr. Francisco Ramos Gómez, and several diplomats who attended the welcome cocktail that "San Miguel en Marcha A.C." offered in the Convention Center La Casona.

Among them were the Ambassador of Costa Rica in Mexico, Maria Eugenia Venegas Renauld; Riyad M.A. Alhalabí, Councilman of Consular Affairs from the State of Palestine and Miguel Ángel Barragán Torres, who runs the Politic Affairs from the Special delegation of Palestine.

He also had the chance to talk with Uzair Zahid Shaikh, Third Secretary/Congressman Chief of Mission from the Embassy of the Islam Republic of Pakistan; with Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of Malaysia; Mohammad Syarif Alatasm, Minister Counsellor of the Indonesian Embassy and Pál Varga Koritár, Ambassador of Hungary.

During the reunion, the wife of the Municipal President Rdicardo Villareal, Emilia Vega de Villareal; welcomed the diplomats and accompanies and, together with the president of "San Miguel en Marcha A.C.", Luis Ferro de la Sota, were invited to next events of the encounter, among them, the solemn session of the City Hall to declare as distinguish visitors to the attending Diplomat body, as well the party of sanmiguelense traditions.
