
Guanajuato, Gto., May 11, 2016. The University of Guanajuato will host the second ordinary session of the National Network of Councils and State Organisms of Science and Technology (REDNACECYT for its acronym in Spanish), a civil association that seeks to encourage public policies and better practices for the scientific, technological and innovation development in our country.
In the general assembly's session, REDNACECYT's President, Dr. Carlos Karam Quiñones, will give progress of the activities, and will follow up the agreements of the 1st Ordinary Session 2016. Likewise, they will address general matters such as the promotion of activities of Expo sciences, among other topics.
With a history of 17 years, REDNACECYT is currently composed by 32 councils and organisms of science and technology in the country.
From its origin, it has constituted a space for discussion of programs and actions that promote the scientific research and the technological development from the federative entities of the Republic, through the interaction among their members, as well as the coordination with the academic, governmental, social and business's sectors regarding public politics in the matter.
The work session's inauguration of REDNACECYT will occur at Mesón de San Antonio at 10:00 hours. The General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino; the Secretary of Science, technology and Innovation in the State of Guanajuato, Dr. Arturo Lara López and the Network's President, Dr. Carlos Karam Quiñones will be present.
