Guanajuato, Gto., May 11, 2016.- With the purpose to have a space for the development of the research in the postgraduates of: Master degree in Sciences of Water (MCA) and the Doctorate in Science and Technology of Water (DCTA), is the reason why the Laboratory in Science and Technology of Water from the Division of Engineering (DI) from Campus Guanajuato, which will be inaugurated this Friday May 13.

As informed in a brief interview by the Director of DI, Dr. Luis Enrique Mendoza Puga, who revealed that the investment for this important project was for 15 million and a half MXN pesos.

He referred that the doctorate, belonging the Census of Quality Postgraduates from the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT for its acronym in Spanish) since 2012, will require infrastructure to form human resources in the high level, to solve from different perspectives, the topic of water.

The laboratory located in venue La Perlita (Barrio de San Luisito), will have a space for 13 professors as well as 50 students of degree and postgraduate. At the Department of Geomatics and Hydraulics Engineering, the educational program of Hydraulics Engineering (first in its kind in a national level) is taught, as well as the MCA and DCTA.

The building will host the laboratories of: Water and City, Water treatment and Hydrology. The inauguration ceremony will be this Friday, May 13th, at 13:15 hours in San Luisito (Road to Mineral de Cata).
