León, Gto., May 16, 2016.- With the objective to get the students closer the cultural-artistic formation and offer them a space to prove their talent, and with the support from the Committee of Art and Culture and "Provocarte" Collective, the students from the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus León, made the "Night of Talents."

For this event, the student community from the three division of campus was summoned, to participate in the disciplines of dance, music, theater and singing. In this edition there was a casting where 16 participants resulted elected.

The Auditorium "Jorge Ibargüengoitia" from the venue Forum, was the scenario where the students who won in the category of singing were: 1st place, Julián Navarro Saucedo, from the Medical Surgeon degree; 2nd place, Emilia Montserrat Blanco Hernández, from the Psychology degree.

In the category of dance; 1st place, Daniel Ricardo Ruíz del Castillo Negrete from the Psychology degree; 2nd place, Diego Jovany Carrillo Palafox, from the Medical Surgeon degree.

For the category of instrument interpretation, the winners were Miguel Ángel Ramírez Hernández from the Physical Engineering degree and 2nd place, Erik Rafael Sánchez Carlos from the Culture and Art degree.

The jury was formed by M. Sylvia Salomón Bujaidar, Dr. Natalia Bieletto Bueno, Dr. Federico Ramírez Rábago, Dr. Gabriel Cortés Gallo, Paola Maricela Jiménez Enríquez and Fernando Ramírez, winner of the Night of Talents 2015.

The Rector of Campus León, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, recognized the initiative of the students from the Committee of Medical External Relationships from UG (CEREMUG) and "Provocarte" Collective; furthermore, he valued the talent the college students have to see the projects finished.

"The University worries for the topics of culture and comprehensive formation of all the students and we will continue to bet on it", assured Dr. Hidalgo.

Likewise, at the beginning of this gala, Dr. Hidalgo Valadez led the award ceremony of the institutional campaign "UG me inspira", which took place from January 25 to April 4 this year.

"UG me inspira" was a campaign that reflected the answer of the college students with their second home, and the possibility to recognize who show what UG inspires them.

The winner was the student Erik Rafael Sánchez Carlos, from the Culture and Art degree, who also was winner of the second place in instrument interpreting, the award for this young man was a 3-day-2-night visit to the city of Querétaro, as well as a kit of promotional articles from Campus Leon.
